Our clients at Whateleys Drive wanted to update their original 195cm x 170cm bathroom. The goal was simple: remove the bath and replace it with a sleek, easy-access walk-in shower that provided plenty of room without sacrificing storage.
By cleverley reconfiguring the layout, we actually managed to increase the shower size beyond the footprint of the original bath, creating a generous 1700mm x 800mm showering area.

The Transformation: From Bath to Walk-In
To maximize the space, we utilized a high-quality Kstone Stone Resin tray. Because the shower area was extended to 80cm wide, we paired it with a space-saving Tavistock Compass 500mm Vanity Unit in a beautiful Oxford Blue. This ensured the client kept their much-needed storage while maintaining a comfortable flow through the room.
We believe in using brands that last. This renovation featured:
- The Shower: A Kudos Ultimate 2 8mm glass panel with a hinged deflector to keep water contained, powered by a Tavistock Index Dual Function “Cool Touch” shower system.
- The Toilet: A Tavistock Orbit Comfort Height model—ideal for ease of use and a modern look.
- The Heating: A striking Lara Designer Radiator in Anthracite (1512x500mm) to add a contemporary feel.
- The Details: Full wall and floor tiling, plus a Tavistock Haze mono mixer tap.
